Sponsorship!
Sure,
drifting, autocrossing, 4x4 rock crawling, and go-karting are fun! No doubt
about it, but one day you are going to be pretty good at having
fun...and then it might not be so bad to have a Big Brother type
picking up part of the tab for new tires and hot new performance parts.
The day
may come when you want an amateur sponsorship, to go semi-pro, or even
to join the big leagues. Why do it alone?! Get Sponsored!

Contingency
Sponsorship
Contingency
sponsorships are instant sponsorships; prizes given to event winners
who were using the correctly branded products on their vehicles (or
wearing properly branded clothes/apparel). There are often events
where a sponsor offers prize money to winning drivers who used their
products or display their decals on their vehicles during the actual
contest. For example, a tire company might offer a $1,000 contingency
sponsorship prize to the highest placing driver (at a given event)
using their tires in competition. Of course, if you're not using
the sponsor's tires, then you won't get anything from them even if you
win the event.
If
you need to purchase a particular product for your vehicle (say, it's
time for new tires anyway), then it might be wise to purchase a product
brand that qualifies for a contingency prize. When entering competitions, read the rules to learn if there is a contingency sponsorship prize. Winning a contingency prize gives you a direct line to corporate sponsorship!
